Our Story
CalHomeCo was founded with the goal of becoming the premier trusted source for real estate, investment, construction, and renovation services in the San Diego area.
CalHomeCo was founded as a partnership between Blake Hedrick and Henish Pulickal. In addition to running the business as co-owner, Blake serves as our President, coordinating and overseeing all projects. Henish is CEO and owner/operator of The California Home Company brokerage, as well as CalHomeCo Buys Houses.
In business together since 2016, they have quickly grown our company into San Diego’s premier provider of construction and renovation services.
At CalHomeCo we are eager to be a vital contribution to turn San Diego into a properly developed City with a key focus on providing homes and opportunities for its residents. Our vision is to create 1,000 new livable units in San Diego by 2033 and create space that resonates quality and comfort.

Our Founders

Blake Hedrick
President – Co-Founder
Blake is a 20 year Navy Veteran with 16 years of experience in construction. 5 of those years in commercial doing multi-million dollar tenant improvements, and 11 years in residential construction. Blake has an eye for detail and ensures every project is delivered and maintained on schedule and on budget.

Henish Pulickal
CEO – Co-Founder
Henish brings 18+ years of experience in real estate, with over 60+ properties remodeled and sold and over $1 billion in mortgage and real estate sales. His diligence, attention to detail, integrity, and care for our clients and team members ensures CalHomeCo provides high-quality service and finished projects.

Shawn Stone
Director of Operations
Shawn is a 20 year Navy Veteran with 30 years of construction management experience in all phases of residential, commercial and tenant improvements. Shawn oversees subcontractors and employees on each project assigned, interprets blue prints, schedules inspections to comply with code requirements while ensuring the highest quality product for our clients.

Steve Poole
Sr. Project Manager
Steve brings over 25 years of construction experience in handling all types of residential projects including custom houses, small to large renovations and remodels. Highly skilled general contractor/carpenter with expertise in estimating and managing jobs. Proven ability of managing subcontractors, labor, equipment and materials necessary for the job. Focused and attentive to every minor and major construction needs.

GRANT VALENTINE
Jr. Project Manager
Grant has a vast amount of experience dealing with customers and making sure the expectations for the project are met. With over 10 years of construction experience, Grant takes a hands on approach to ensure that the customer is always aware of what is happening throughout the project.

Shane Stone
Project Manager Assistant
Shane is a 10 year Navy Veteran with 10 years of construction experience and strong project management skills involving commercial tenant improvement and single/multi-family residential projects.
Adept in scheduling and coordinating to ensure adherence to project specifications. Proven ability to manage employees and subcontractors ensuring job safety and on time project completion. High level of
flexibility to meet challenges of changing priorities.

Malcolm Prante
Field Supervisor
Malcolm is a key member on our team and helps to provide quality control on our projects. He has over 15 years of experience in construction.

Brian Zanini
Director of Sales, Marketing and Business Development
Brian is a key resource for new CalHomeCo customers. With a background in home remodeling and reconstruction, Brian provides knowledge and experience within key aspects of the building process. His passion is focused on client experience, attention to detail, and reliable efficiency. Brian communicates with clients during preconstruction phases to achieve the cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling and estimating.

Will Collamer
Business Development
Will is an accomplished business development professional with over 7 years of experience in the construction industry. With a strong focus on client relationships, Will has consistently demonstrated his ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities while ensuring that client needs are prioritized at every stage of the project lifecycle.
